On my ride home this evening, one of our United Transportation trucks pulled up next to me at a stoplight.
For just a moment, everything else disappeared. I wasn’t thinking about the day or the endless list of decisions that come with owning a business. I simply looked over, smiled, waved at our driver, and felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude.
It reminded me just how fortunate I am to own United Transportation. There are days that test your patience, your confidence, and your resilience. Running a business means carrying the responsibility of your employees, your customers, and their families. It isn’t always easy, but moments like that remind me exactly why it’s worth it.
When I see one of our trucks on the road, I don’t just see a vehicle with our UT logo on the side. I see the hard work, commitment, and pride that our team puts into representing our company every single day. I also see the investments we’ve made to provide our drivers with newer, safer, and more reliable equipment. They deserve it. They spend long hours on the road, navigate traffic and unpredictable weather, meet demanding schedules, and ensure our customers receive the level of service they’ve come to expect.
It’s been a learning curve the last year, however one thing I am certain of is that our drivers are far more than employees, they are the face of our company. They are the true brand ambassadors. Their professionalism, work ethic, and dedication shape our reputation far more than any marketing campaign ever could.
Sometimes we forget to stop and appreciate what we’ve already built. Sitting next to one of our trucks at that stoplight was a reminder that success isn’t measured only by revenue, growth, or the number of trucks on the road. It’s measured by the incredible people who make it all possible.
For that, I am deeply grateful…
